Where I'm headed to next...

The Political Communication Center at The University of Oklahoma 

Early Sunday morning, I'll jet off to Oklahoma City.  I'll be making my way down to Norman Oklahoma, home to The University of Oklahoma. Oklahoma sure sounds like an odd place to visit, especially during the summer when temperatures are easily north of 100 with high humidity. Nevertheless, I'll be researching at their Political Communication Center in the Julian P. Kanter Political Commercial Archive. I plan to view over 3,000 political advertisements from presidential campaigns in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. This work will help me to continue developing my research on political advertisements and how they relate to levels of trust in government and perceptions of government corruption.
